The further this drags on, the further he tarnishes what is already a diminishing legacy. The only reason he wants to wear the purple is so he can stick it to Ted Thompson and the Packers. If this is, in fact, the main motivation behind yet another Favre return, Brad Childress should think twice about who he entrusts to be his field general this season. It might cost him.
