In case you aren’t a soccer fan, Cristiano Ronaldo, the world’s greatest player, is on his way from Manchester United to Real Madrid. Just 3 days after spending $98 million on Kaka, the Spanish giants splashed a cool $135 million to hold talks with the Portuguese attacker. Real Madrid just completed a disappointing season, finishing 9 points behind league winners, Barcelona; while Manchester United completed a triumphant campaign which resulted in 3 trophies. Some have posed the question “why would he want to leave?”. Here are my 5 reasons on why Cristiano left Old Trafford for greener pastures.
5. The Language: Hey, this move provides Cristiano with the convenient escape from ever having to truly learn English. It’s not as if it should have been high on his list of priorities and sure he was coherent in interviews, but you’d hope for a bit more after six years in England.
